Origin: Elaeocarpus ganitrus, also known as "Rudraksha tree", is found from the Gangetic plain in the foothills of the Himalayas mountains to Nepal, South & Southeast Asia, parts of Australia, Guam, & Hawaii. The trees grow to 60 – 80 ft (18 – 24 m). They are evergreen trees that grow quickly, & as they mature their roots form buttresses, rising near the trunk & radiating out along the surface of the ground. It performs best with light conditions of direct sunlight to partly-shaded, in well-drained soils that cannot be dry, wet or mucky (Desert areas are unsuitable). It grows best within a temperature range of 25 – 30 °C. It requires regular watering when young, then as the plant matures, it becomes drought-tolerant. The tree starts bearing fruit 3 – 4 years after germination. When the fruit is fully ripe, the Rudraksha seeds are covered by a blue outer fleshy husk of inedible fruit.

 

Rudraksha VS Gems: Rudraksha beads pacify the malefic effects of planets while gems are worn for strengthening the effect of benefic planets. While Rudraksha does not need to touch the skin, gems do not work at all if they do not touch the skin & cause adverse results when worn incorrectly. Although we have Nepal rudraksha, Indian rudraksha and java rudraksha, we don’t sell based on origin. All rudrakshas are organic and the trees grow in the wild.  Weather conditions like strong winds and heavy rain result in low harvest seasons as rudraksha fruits drop before they are ripe. We do consultation related to rudraksha for vastu or fengshui.
